Sales figures tumbled again Friday as Keeneland wrapped up its five-day January Horses of All Ages Sale, recording a double-digit decline in total sales while the overall average slipped less than 1 percent from last year. During the final session, Keeneland sold 166 horses for $1,095,900, down 46.55 percent from a year ago, when 244 horses brought $2,050,200.
