Allen Iverson will not return to the 76ers this season, the team said in a statement released on Tuesday. And now, the question becomes whether or not Iverson will return to the court for any team ever again."After discussing the situation with Allen, we have come to the conclusion that he will not return to the Sixers for the remainder of the season, as he no longer wishes to be a distraction to the organization and teammates that he loves very deeply," team President and General Manager Ed Stefanski said. "It has been very difficult for Allen and the team to maintain any consistency as he tries to balance his career with his personal life."
Iverson took an indefinite leave from the team shortly after the All-Star break to be with his ailing daughter, who is suffering from an undiagnosed medical problem. While you can hardly blame Iverson for putting family first, the way that things have gone for him with his last three teams certainly calls into question any current commitment he may have to the game of basketball.

Looks like Allen is done. He has lost his
speed. At his size in the NBA that was his
major asset. He still has the experience
and the moves but that may not be enough
