He had been Milwaukee's best player all season. And now, the Bucks, whose magic number to clinch a playoff spot is two, will be without Andrew Bogut for the rest of the season.
After leaking out on the break and slamming home a pass from Carlos Delfino against the Phoenix Suns, Bogut lost his grip on the rim and fell awkwardly on his right arm and Bogut immediately cried out in pain. His teammates rushed over off the bench, obviously concerned. Bogut was quickly helped up and off the floor.
According to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, dislocated his elbow, sprained his wrist and broke his hand. After the game, as you can imagine, his teammates were worried.
I thought more about his back at first because he landed like that (on his back) and then I saw his arm went down and it popped and I was like, 'Man,'" said Bucks point guard Brandon Jennings . "It didn't look good. My first instinct was that it was broke. He was screaming. I heard it was OK a little bit but we'll know more about it in the morning."
Bogut averaged 15.9 points, 10.3 boards and 2.75 blocks this season as his defense was the catalyst for the Bucks' turnaround this season.
