Former Louisville basketball standout Kenny Payne has been hired as one of John Calipari’s assistant coaches at rival Kentucky. Calipari announced the hiring Friday in a news release. Payne replaces former assistant Rod Strickland, who was voluntarily reassigned to another position in the program following his arrest on a drunken driving charge.
