Ya, I got the World Cup fever.� But watching the US National Team’s historic, heroic and flukey draw with England in our first match of the 2010 FIFA World Cup, I was disappointed in our uniforms.
Has there ever been a good sports team with a diagonal stripe?� But I could deal with the where’s my handheld stop sign crossing guard look, if it didn’t seem specifically designed to emphasize the Nike Swoosh.
Now I’ve seen enough games that it seems like every country has a corporate logo over the left boob that’s at least as big as the country’s name on the right boob, but the United States of Nike seems to be the only team that has that awkward color change to really make the corporate logo pop.� I blame Michael Jordan.
