Report: Dell Demps Hired as Hornets GM

In Vegas for Summer League, I asked Dell Demps if it was stressful dealing with all the interviews for various positions on top of trying to scout games, talk to players, and continue Spurs/Toros business. He laughed and said "No, actually, it's been pretty fun."



It probably just got a lot more fun.



Marc Stein reports tonight that after gaining the top spot for the New Orleans Hornets' GM position, the deal is done. Stein reports that the Hornets have reached an agreement in principle with Demps for the position. The move means a colossal shift in how the team will be run in the future, with new ownership set to take the reins.
