I had a hacker problem. It was a huge hacker problem. This guy took pride in systematically breaking me down along with my sites. It was really a thing to behold. I was a broken man. He got me banned from Google for about 2 months.
I have spent the last 6 months, or more, fending off hacker attack after hacker attack. I spent countless hours trying to learn how to do fix it myself, mostly because I did not trust anyone to look at all of my blogs. Did I mention that the hacker attacked half of the blog network? Because, he totally did.
I might have been able to take care of it if it were 1 blog, but when it is 5 blogs, I was overwhelmed.
My good buddy, and all around sports blogging sage, Isaac from Guyism, told me I needed to hire someone. About 3 weeks ago I finally heeded his advice. I admitted that I was a complete moron, that tried to get rid of a hacker for 6 months, and could not do it. I hired someone to help. They worked on the sites for about a week, and gave me a full refund. I am not going to lie, that gave me a little bit of my pride back.
I could not do it, but neither could this programmer. The hacker was deeply embedded. He was creative. He was unpredictable. He was the James Bond and Jackson Pollock of hackers.
I did a little more research, and came across this blog cleaning post, by Michael VanDeMar (michael-at-endlesspoetry.com). He gave all of the tips on how to clean your blog. I immediately emailed him, and he began work right away. He gave me regular updates. He has taken care of my hacker problem. He has my stamp of approval, and I would recommend him to any and everyone. ( I would also recommend keeping all installs and pluggins up to date. )
He did not pay me for this post. I am just very happy. 6 months is a long time to be preoccupied.
As a side note: I am going to start getting back to blogging. Real life might slow me down, but it will not be hackers.
Thanks for reading!
