Michael Jordan vs Danny Ferry 1992 Video Evidence:
Back when I was … 11, Michael Jordan and Danny Ferry had a pretty sweet, short lived,� rivalry. This was 2 years after “The Shot“, where MJ tore the heart out of Cleveland, like we have not seen that before. The 91-92 season had the divisional opponenents back at it again. Keep in mind that Cleveland was still a proud team. It was not until later in the 90′s that they became … the Cavs that we all remember from the late 90′s.
Here are 2 videos that, if it were today, would have been a huge side story. I am not sure if it was or not, but I do not hear much about Ferry vs Jordan.
1st we have Jordan slamming down on Ferry, which must not have felt that good. I mean MJ owns basketball. He stops your team from going to the playoffs. He slams the ball in your FACE!
The second video is of Ferry getting tangled up with MJ at the top of the key, and it ends with Ferry throwing 2 punches at Jordan’s jaw. Both connect, even though Ferry is not exactly looking at Jordan. Jordan is cocked locked and loaded to give a right hook to the back of Ferr’y head, and who stops him? Who stops MJ?
Michael said that he did not retaliate because he meant a little bit more to his team than Dan did. Ferry was ejected, and The Bulls won the Eastern Conference Finals. Rivalry over.
