I know it is a celebration, and I always respect when someone brings it in for the real thing. I learned at a young age that being a hugger is great. It shows people that you want to make that bond, and you are not afraid to show the world.

Well, Mr. Thome took it another step Tuesday night when his Twins clinched. Watch as he goes in for the hug. He keeps his right hand on your neck, looks into your eyes, and he rubs your ear like a good dog. He does this to every teammate that wants to get in his flesh mittens.

Is there anything wrong with it? No. Is it odd? A little.
