Briecat held off Westwood Pride by a neck Sunday in the $150,000 Las Palmas Handicap for fillies and mares on the final day of the Oak Tree meeting at Hollywood Park. Briecat, ridden by Patrick Valenzuela, ran a mile on the turf in 1:34.77 and paid $29, $10.60 and $5.60. Westwood Pride, ridden by Rafael Bejarano, returned $7.20 and $3.80, and Turning Top paid $2.80 to show.
