The New South Wales state racing authority says veteran Australian jockey Jim Cassidy has been banned for three months for failing a doping test. Cassidy, a two-time Melbourne Cup winner, pleaded guilty at a hearing Wednesday. He was charged when his urine sample after an Oct. 4 race at Sydney’s Warwick Farm showed traces of a banned substance.
