Slip Away did just that Saturday, winning the 41st running of the $100,000 Colonial Cup Steeplechase by a record 25 lengths. The 7-year-old son of Skip Away romped to victory at the Springdale Race Course in Camden on the final day of the National Steeplechase Association season. The winning margin easily surpassed Hall of Fame jumper Flatterer’s 17-length victory in 1986.
