Two-time Eclipse Award winner Miesque has been euthanized because of medical problems from advanced age. She was 27. She was one of the top female runners and was put down Thursday at Lane’s End Farm. Miesque (pronounced MEE-esk) won the Breeders’ Cup Mile in 1987 and 1988 for trainer Francois Boutin and jockey Freddie Head.
