Phil Jackson has been called a lot of things in his illustrious career; Zen Master, one of the best coaches of all time.Boy-toy?
After the 12-time champion -- 11 as a coach, one as a player - suggested that the Dallas Mavericks would be a little bit thinner after losing forward Caron Butler to a season-ending knee injury, Mavs owner Mark Cuban, no stranger to controversy, hit Jackson a little below the belt by poking fun at the relationship with his love interest.
"I love that Jeanie Buss' boy-toy had something to say about us," Cuban said while working out in the Mavs' workout room Tuesday. "I don't know if it was his thought or Jeanie's thought, but it's nice to know that she lets him speak in public about other teams."
The Lakers coach has been involved in a relationship with owner Jerry Buss' daughter and team executive vice president of business operations, Jeanie, for several years
When asked about how the void of Butler will affect the Mavs' season, Jackson told The Los Angeles Times, "He just leaves a vacuum that's going to be very hard for them to fill."
While the Lakers (23-11) are struggling this season, the Mavs (25-8) are second only to the Spurs in the Western Conference.
The Mavs will host the Lakers for the first time this season on Jan. 19.
