The Miami Heat won their sixth game in a row and got some measure of revenge against the Los Angeles Clippers with a comfortable 97-79 victory in a Sunday matinee. Back on Jan. 12, they had ended Miami's 13-game road winning streak. In the first game of the series, the trio of Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh and LeBron James played well yet the rest of the team contributed little and only accounted for nine total points. In the rematch in Miami, the supporting cast was the difference as Mike Miller, Joel Anthony and a resurgent Eddie House continued their recent stretch of strong games.
Settling a score may have been on their minds but the Heat are only a game and half back from the Boston Celtics for the conference lead and with just 31 games left in the regular season, players like Heat forward Chris Bosh are focusing on the bigger picture.
"Now it's time to start thinking about the standings and really feeling out your position on where you want to be in the playoffs," he said after the game. "Everybody wants that number one seed. We would rather play a game seven in Miami than in Boston, if it comes down to it. It puts extra importance on every game that we play now. We just have to stay consistent and maintain our sense of urgency and just win every game. That's what it comes down to."
