DENVER -- Call it the battle of the banged-up big men.Denver's Kenyon Martin will start in the West first-round series against Utah, but his coach doesn't know how effective he will be after recently missing 18 games due to left knee tendinitis. And Utah's Carlos Boozer vows to play after he sat out Wednesday's season finale against Phoenix because of a stomach muscle strain.
Whichever team has a power forward hurting less could have a big advantage in the series that starts Saturday at the Pepsi Center.
The Jazz didn't practice Thursday after being wiped out 100-86 by the Suns, a loss that dropped them from being the No. 3 seed to No. 5. So that means Utah must go on the road to begin matters with No. 4 Denver.
"I'm going to play this weekend, no matter what,'' Boozer told reporters Wednesday.
