ATLANTA --These Hawks don't mind being flightless at times. At least when it comes to not having to worry about soaring expectations.
Atlanta might have the third-best mark in the East at 48-26. But when it comes to talk about the East's Big Three, the conversation stops after Cleveland, Orlando and Boston.
"We'd rather stay under the radar,'' said Hawks guard Mike Bibby. "Playing under the radar makes it a lot easier for us. It takes some pressure off.''
Fellow Atlanta guard Jamal Crawford agrees.
"We're flying under the radar a little bit, but we're OK with that,'' said Crawford, knowing the other top East teams all have made it to the Finals since 2007, while the Hawks have been knocked out in the second round of the postseason the past two years after not even making the playoffs since 1999. "We're still kind of new here, and looked at as a young and up-and-coming team.''
There's just one problem. Another big win Friday at Cleveland, and the Hawks might start showing up on detection devices.
