Deron Williams Pointing Jazz Through Second-Half Comebacks

Deron WilliamsORLANDO -- This was another case of Deron Williams making his case as the best point guard in the game.

While teammate Paul Millsap carried the load in Tuesday's more dramatic win in Miami, it was Williams who led the Utah Jazz Wednesday night in another come-from-behind victory over Orlando, 104-94.

His 30 points and 14 assists were impressive enough, but it was the 24 points and 10 assists in the second half that won the game.

It was the third consecutive victory for the Jazz, and the third consecutive time they erased sizable deficits to win. They trailed the Clippers by 18, the Heat by 22 and the Magic by 18. According to the Elias Sports Bureau, it was the first time in the shot-clock era that a team has come back to win three consecutive games in which they trailed by 10 or more points at halftime.

It's no coincidence that Williams was there running the show. He had 21 points and 14 assists against Miami. He had 30 points and seven assists against the Clippers.
